The buggies shown above have been basically unchanged since the start. However in 2005 a new PARAGOLF buggy has been used by some players.
The Paragolfer solved the problem of getting paraplegic golfers into a conventional position to play two handed. However the jockey wheel was problematic in bunkers and on greens and so the Endeavour buggy was developed with help from The R&A.
As paraplegics got more established. playing one-handed from an unrestricted seat with minimal restraints became more popular.
The standard Handigolf Foundation buggy is now the 4-wheel Paterson Eventer which comes with a a rigid steel frame round the seat edge to which players can attach grab handles etc. and also with armrests that can be detached easily.
