The aims of the event are:
- Promote the Handigolf Foundation and raise its, profile.
- Increase membership by showing the benefits of golf for disabled people.
- Gain sponsorships and increase donations for the charity.
- Create local hubs that will link with the foundation’s national membership.
- Attract more potential volunteers to support the ideals of the charity.
- To make golf accessible for all and create links with other disabled sporting groups.
- To ensure disabled people have a genuine and equal opportunity to participate in golf.
- To foster a culture of Inclusion and increase the foundations Inclusivity and Ethnicity priorities.
- Increase youth participation.
- Learn how to develop Handigolf through connecting all minority groups wanting to participate.
- Offer disabled people the opportunity to engage with golf on their own terms either through individual participation or by becoming a part of a wider golfing community.
- Enjoy life, Have Fun and make New Friendships.
Partnerships are essential for the Event and its’ success. We will partner with organisations that will share in the success, and, in turn, our partners will have the opportunity to promote and grow their own port folios coupled with connecting to local likeminded bodies business expansion is a great possibility.
The Handigolf Event will be promoted and advertised using a variety of media options including, Radio Derby, the Derby Evening Telegraph, local Golf Clubs and Golfing Magazines as well as social media platforms.
