Once again the weather at Tapton Park in Chesterfield was good and the course in very fine fettle for the National Handigolf Championships and The Northern Open.
Mark Gibson (Belfast) scored a stunning 41 points to win the Nationals and Terry Kirby (Derbyshire) won the Northern Open with a great 37 points. Phil Meadows (Cambridgeshire) put in great round to come third with 35 points on this very tricky golf course.
The next event will be the East Anglian Open at Pidley where the Greasley Cup (best gross Stableford score by a Handigolfer) will be added to the event.
