Great British and Irish players do well in the rain in Spain

The European Challenge Wheelchair Golf event in Barcelona (which is effectively the European Championships ) was once again dominated by GB and Ireland players.

Rain caused the event to be reduced to one round and Mark Gibson won both the Gross and Nett events by a single point. Cormac McAdam finished 5th and 3rd respectively and Terry Kirby was tied 7th and 6th.

A slightly reduced field from previous years was very disappointed when torrential rain flooded the greens for the second round. What a shame for the massive travel efforts of all the players.
